December 3: President Donald trump has pulled the United States out of the United Nations cooperation pact to protect the safety and rights of refugees and Migrants.
The decision was disclosed on Saturday by Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to U.N stating that the global approach was “simply not compatible with U.S. sovereignty.” This decision comes as a continuation of President Trump’s “America First” foreign policy approach.
Haley further stated that the immigration policy of United States will always be made by Americans and not the international community.
Ambassador Nikki Haley: “America is proud of our immigrant heritage and our long-standing moral leadership in providing support to migrant and refugee populations across the globe…But our decisions on immigration policies must always be made by Americans and Americans alone." pic.twitter.com/By2ObmBrEy

President Trump has withdrawn from many global commitments such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership, Paris Climate agreement and the UNESCO, The U.N’s culture and education agency.
Many observers believe that Trump’s “America First” policy may really be an “America Alone” policy and the president is risking the isolation of the United States for the sake of his own fans.
