Following the success of the first “Nepal-Bangladesh Business Forum” in January 2016, the Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (AIDIA) in collaboration with the Embassy of People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Nepal are holding a second forum in 2018.
CEO of AIDIA, Mr. Sunil K.C Said , “The forum intends to bring together policy makers, government authority, business personal, trade experts, academicians and other concerned stakeholders from both countries to explore various business and trade related opportunities and challenges.”
The first “Nepal-Bangladesh Business Forum” was organized with the theme of “Strengthening Nepal-Bangladesh Business Ties: Engage, Explore and Invest from Sea to Himalayas”. The forum was a grand success in raising awareness on unexplored possibilities for Nepal’s business and trade sectors. The forum made considerable stride forward in improving the bilateral relations between the two nations in fields of trade and commerce. Key panelists such as Mr. Mahbubur Rashid Bhuiyan, a Research fellow in Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic studies, Mr. Suresh Man Shrestha, Member Secretary of National Planning Commission, Mr. Tanzeem Choudhary, Director of East Coast Group, Mr. Purushottam Ojha, Former Secretary for Commerce and Senior Consultant were among some of the experts in various fields that attended and delivered insightful and enlightening speeches during the first forum.
AIDIA hopes to continue this momentum by organizing the 2nd Nepal-Bangladesh Business Forum in cooperation with the Embassy of People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Nepal with the theme of Connecting from Seas to Himalayas, scheduled for 24th February 2018 in Shangrila Hotel, Lazimpat.
